Corporal Mike Kilian-
Old Fort Niagara Timeline2003; Youngstown, NY

This is an after action report.  One will be made either, by myself or, Sgt. Mullen, and published to our unit.  Any additions made to it are helpful, so feel free to e-mail back any replys to all of us.
I would like to say first of all that I thought this event went very well.  More could have been done to utilize time, but we still managed to have fun and learn some things.
As for our food, i think we should look into a bulk purchase at some point in the year and use that supply till its gone then make a similar purchase.
I know there were some times when some of us were frustrated or mad, just take it easy and count one one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand, as if u were a paratrooper and it's gonna be alright.
We must think about a meeting time for june and the comming summer.  i know most of the squad are CW, reb hating re-enactors, lol, so i know the summer is a bit busy for you, so, we'll try and plan the meetings out on non-event weekends or not to be near event weekends.
As your Corporal, i was proud of how sharp my boys looked; jerry, paul, john e., rory, and even our USMC contingent, Brad, all looked neat and presentable in uniform, and that makes me happy.  I was also proud of how you all conducted yourself in uniform and in general.
I want to also say that for most of you, as your first event, you did an outstanding job.  Your attendance is in the record books and will work for your promotions and awards.  When we have suitable weapons, we can think about weapons qualifications.  I know paul ran the range when i fired the M-16 rifle as a cadet, so, he is more than qualified to do it any time.
Lets also think about traning.  If we can get into the field on a weekend or a day when we all, or most, can make it, that would be highly beneficial to all of us.  It would definately come in handy during our first fire-fight with the krauts.
Does anyone know where i can get a copy of our handbook?  I would like some guidelines on certain matters.
Also, LETS GET OUR FIRST PERSON ID FILES DOWN SO WE CAN PUT IT ON THE WEBSITE.  TALK TO PVT BIALECKI FOR MORE INFO ON WHAT SHOULD BE GIVEN TO HIM TO BE PUBLISHED ON THE SITE.
We made a good impression on the fort, so, lets keep up the outstanding work and get to it.  Thank you all gentleman, thank you all.
